For that time in my life that I’d go outside too proud and tall
I couldn’t write a song at all
I couldn’t feel the cutouts on my wall
I’d feel the sunlight on my back

The circles were a cluster of surfers and us aimless kids
I told myself I couldn’t quit
So I hung out on the porch to sit
The sunlight trickled in for a while

I left my classes early for reasons I often don’t understand
To see you guys hanging at our pad
